Women Empowerment in India – Let’s Join our Initiative

A term like Women Empowerment can’t be described in some words. Yet, we will try to share our deepest thoughts on the same and you would probably understand why it’s such a sensitive topic to talk about.

So, what is Women Empowerment? Is it about empowering women in some sectors or promoting them in some specific areas? Yeah, partly true, but that’s not all. Women Empowerment is a movement that was started to create an equal line between Men and Women. To give women, those rights and virtue that they deserve. And, it’s sure necessary today!

Women have proved time and again that they are no less than men, yet there are some aspects where people draw a vicious prospective against them and that’s where the need of some faction like Women Empowerment arise .Women Empowerment in India can play a huge role in the development of the country. But that needs support from all of us.

The first thing we need to understand is that we cannot judge anyone based on his/her gender. We can find several instances in our society where people tend to generalize their opinions on some matters specifically with females. Why so? Who are we to judge? And there’s a huge problem in a place where gender equality is yet to be discovered. We often criticize India’s politics, India’s development, but first it’s we who must change. Our mentality, opinions and thoughts represent our society, our culture and our country.

Take this matter as a fact for example, that India has the lowest female literacy rate in the whole of Asia. This shows, what outlook does this country has for women education. This needs to stop and no government or organisation can help unless the thought process of people changes. We often hear phrases like, “Women don’t need higher education as she would get married soon”, or “a girl is a liability for parents”. Do you think statements like these are viable for even 1%? No! Absolutely not. Women have proved that they are equal and, in some cases, better than men. So why we are still stuck at such thinking?

They are everywhere! – Be it literature, sports, entertainment, science or military. Look around yourself for a moment and witness this fact forthwith. A Badminton player like SainaNehwal is making the country proud, actress like Priyanka Chopra is flashing at the Emmy’s, a scientist like Mahak Sharma is all over the world with her theory. The day will pass but not the examples. So, we need to get over this thought process of the society and support women as much as we can. They will prove themselves every time they would get a chance.

Yeah, things like this would take time. It won’t happen in a flash. But we all must lend a hand in the movement of Women Empowerment in India for a brighter future. The next generation is waiting for us to get better.
