Since the medieval times, this emphatic country was brimming with several religions. India is home to at least 9 recognized religions which are being practiced from the coast of Malabar to the mountains of Tehri Garhwal. Hinduism stands at the top of all religions. Around 79% of Indians follow Hinduism. India not only is the hub of several religions but even it gave birth to several of them. For e.g. Hinduism, Sikhism, Jainism, and Buddhism. Christianity, Judaism, Zoroastrianism, Muslims and Bahai faith are other religions too which are being followed in the mix. They are being passed down from generation to generation and the country takes a great amount of pride in it. Each religion has its own set of temples and holds a rich historical background. It would apropos to say that the religions not only have provided belief and hope for people but also provided this generation with great artifacts to drool over. Talk about a golden opportunity, that’s what participants can get by studying about different religions of India.

There are several NGOs which are operating in the country aiding people in their miseries and uplifting them from poverty. Literature
The religious study not only offers literature but it also brings an extra twist of traditional food, which not only complements their own religion but also bring great enthusiasm by providing eternal satisfaction to the taste buds and pacify mindset. There are several norms and restriction in each religion over food too. Jainism prohibits consumption of meat and vegetables which involves digging from the ground. While the main dish of Muslims always involve meat. There is a whole lot of diversity and thus also involves following the norms and threads.
Teachings
There are several programs launched in the country giving way to participants to learn. ILSAP is one such organization that enables this. The program participants will be exposed to the religious observations by speaking to hosts and direct observation and participation at ritual events. This experience will enhance their academic knowledge as well as give them the teachings for life.
